Contact usWe supply customers throughout the Baltic region from our manufacturing facility in Sweden. The regional sales office is based in Riga, Latvia.
Offering a wide range of products and services, MiTek comprises more than 40 companies operating in nearly 100 countries around the world. MiTek provides productivity and performance enhancing solutions for the construction industry.
Who are we?
MiTek is the world’s leading supplier of connector plate engineering software, manufacturing equipment and nailer boards in the construction industry.
What do we do?
MiTek solutions cover four different yet interrelated areas: products (nailer boards), manufacturing equipment, software and design services. The result is a unique service matrix that provides tools to work faster, maximise productivity, reduce costs and provide customer support. MiTek supports its customers in meeting the needs of the demanding housebuilding industry.
PAMIR is MiTek’s industry leading Roof Truss and Posi-Joist design software. Developed by our European software development team, PAMIR is a powerful and versatile software for designing roof layout and engineering solutions by EC5 standards. PAMIR is only used by licensed MiTek Roof Truss and Posi-Joist manufacturers.
This software replaces several separate programmes by combining 3D modelling of roof plans, calculation of structural capacity and production documentation into one software package. Learning the software is more straightforward as there is only one toolset to learn. Integration of different domains allows for greater accuracy in design as a user can clearly see how different design elements work together.
Learn moreRoof trusses are becoming increasingly popular throughout the Baltic region, and are used in both residential and commercial construction.
Roofs using the connector truss solution are fully certified and based on engineering calculations. When compared to a conventional roof, a connector truss can typically offer significant material savings, using up to 40% less timber.
Manufactured off-site at the factory, this roofing solution is highly versatile. The different truss configurations offer a wide range of applications such as mansard trusses, raised ceiling trusses and scissor trusses. The trusses can be manufactured from timber of different dimensions, allowing the production of high performance structures specifically for commercial buildings.
MiTek is the largest network of truss manufacturers. When you work with a MiTek manufacturer, you can be sure that they are using the latest design and engineering software and are fully supported by MiTek’s experienced support team of technical experts.
The Posi-Joist system combines the lightness of timber with the strength of Posi-Strut steel joists. The slab and roof systems allow much greater spans than possible with alternative timber products.
This provides unrivalled freedom of design for a wide range of applications in both slab and roof solutions in the domestic, industrial and commercial sectors. The ability of the Posi-Joist system to cover larger spans allows for a wide range of interior solutions.
Easy access for installation and maintenance of services in the slab area is a clear advantage of the Posi-Joist system. With the increasing demand for Mechanical Ventilation and Heat Recovery (MVHR) systems, Posi-Joist offers an ideal and simple solution that cannot be provided by alternative solid wood products.
Learn moreCompared to a traditional rafter roof, timber trusses can often offer significant cost savings in terms of timber and labour hours, which can be as much as 40% in total.
In addition, trusses provide a cost effective and quick solution for installing the roofing structure.
There are almost no restrictions on connector truss size and geometry.

MiTek offers a range of presses for the production of roof trusses and Posi-Joist roof beams.
The MK-8 press line with magnetic pedestal is a versatile truss manufacturing press with a ‘C’ clamp hydraulic press mounted on a portal. The press can be mounted on a lever or Telfer suspension system to suit site conditions. The magnetic pedestals operate on a steel base for ease of operation and safety.
The MK-1 table press is a 30 tonne hydraulic machine with steel tables, providing an efficient and versatile solution for the production of all types of trusses. The press can be operated in manual, set-up and automatic modes or combined with automatic jig tables to produce the exact truss geometry as quickly as possible.
The Mark-1 is a lightweight single cylinder press with a fully automatic continuous table. Manual, set-up or fully automatic modes. The press is equipped with a large press platen and can be adjusted to different table widths. The press is smooth and quiet and has no floor rail.
The MK-1 “Baby” is a small single cylinder press, ideal for making small trusses.
MiTek supplies saws with different levels of automation for the woodworking industry.
The MiTek Easy-Cut 700/838 is an advanced single blade saw with three or four axis controller. The cutting blade diameter is 700 mm. The possible blade rotation angles are from 0 to 360 degrees or with a minimum of 38 degrees low tilt angle.
The Easy-Cut 4 Saw is a saw with four manually adjustable blades. All axis positions are set from the LCD control panel. Robust, versatile and reliable, the Easy-Cut 4 combines the best mechanical features with the latest manufacturing technology to give you a fast, efficient and modern four blade saw with a full range of cutting options.
